The Polaris Prize 2018 Short List was revealed on Tuesday Morning and here are the Top 10 albums:

The gala will take place on September 17th and will be hosted once again by CBC Music's Raina Douris.

Polaris Prize 2016 - Live Stream!

At 5PM Pacific, the 2016 Polaris Music Prize Gala will kickoff, featuring performances by most of the nominated artists, and a winner will be crowned.

Basia Bulat - Good Advice
I've been following Basia Bulat for a few years, and this is her best album yet. How can it not be when produced by My Morning Jacket's Jim James? 
Plus, no matter how much I listen to "Infamous" is still crushes me every time. 

Christine's Pick:
Andy Shauf - The Party
Honestly the short list is great and I'd be happy with so many of these albums winning, but I have loved Andy Shauf's music for years, The Party is excellent and I hope this does wonderful things for his music career. Shauf for the win!

Jess' Pick:
Basia Bulat - Good Advice
I also picked Good Advice because Bulat has been nominated 3 times, it's the most listen-on-repeatable, while still making dramatic artistic changes from her last few records, and always getting better with time.
