A Vancouver Music Playlist by Said The Whale

March 21, 2018 by Christine McAvoy in music news, music festival

Yesterday I saw that Said The Whale posted this awesome playlist made up of Vancouver music, just in time for the JUNOs and JUNOfest coming back to town.

Like you might have seen in yesterday & today's Song(s) Of The Day, it's #SingItFwd tonight, featuring some of the bands from this playlist including Said The Whale, Hey Ocean!, The Zolas, Louise Burns, Mother Mother, and Peach Pit... but there are several more bands that I was excited to discover in it.

Here is their note on it from Instagram, and the playlist below!:
"With The JUNO Awards coming to town next weekend and the eyes of the Canadian Music Industry focused on our city, we thought it would be good timing to share a playlist of our favourite Vancouver bands. Please listen and share. If any of these songs catch your ears, please support the bands by buying their music, following them on social media, or attending an upcoming live show! There is a TON of talent in this city. I should also mention that this list is by no means exhaustive - I’m sure we’ve missed some great bands on account of being 30+/uncool/homebodies so if there’s something you’d like to see on this playlist, please comment [on their instagram post]."

A selection of amazing songs by Vancouver(and surrounding areas)-based bands. If you enjoy these songs, please support the artists by telling your friends about them, buying the music, or attending a live show. (Cover photo by Raymond Parker).
