I can’t remember whom it was that introduced me to Seattle band Tacocat a while ago, but I LOVED them instantly.

Their new single “Hologram” is from their upcoming album This Mess Is A Place, which the band started writing after the 2016 election, responding “to a new reality where evil isn’t hiding under the surface at all—it’s front and center, with new tragedies and civil rights assaults filling up the scroll of the newsfeed every day. “

As complicated as that is to turn those thoughts into catchy pop songs, they definitely nailed it with this new song, and I’m excited to hear the rest. And hopefully see them in Vancouver some day soon!
