Peak Performance Project Year Seven: Top Three

This is it. The final year of the Peak Performance Project. Now in its seventh year, 102.7 The Peak and Music BC have picked one last top 12. Are giving away three last giant novelty cheques. Are throwing one last party.

And today, we found out who will be receiving those giant novelty cheques. All 12 bands went through months of hard work, going to a "rock & roll bootcamp", playing in the series of showcases at Fortune Sound Club, putting on a fundraiser for a charity of their choice, and writing their "final report" marketing plan.
So here they are in no particular order, the 2015 Peak Performance Project Top Three!

You can catch the big finale on November 19th at the Commodore Ballroom, where we will find out who takes the first prize of $102,700 (and second place of $75,000; and $50,000 for third).

Gigs Of The Week: October 09-15, 2015

Every Friday 3am Revelations give you our picks for some of the fantastic live shows happening in and around our city of Vancouver.
There's much more going on all the time, which you can check out in our concert calendar.
What are you seeing this week? Let us know in the comments below.

Kirk's Pick

Who? The 4th and FINAL Peak Performance Project Showcase
Where? Fortune Sound Club
When? Thursday October 15
Why? I know MusicBC says they don't play favourites and/or "stack" the lineups for the PPP showcase, but it can't be a coincidence that these three heavy hitters are playing the last Peak Performance Project showcase EVER.

Christine's Pick

Who? Del Barber & Fortunate Ones
Where? Fox Cabaret
When? Wednesday October 14
Why? Del Barber returns to Vancouver, and it just so happens to be his birthday as well! Come to the Fox and give him well wishes, and hear some great music too!

Jess's Pick

Who? Joyce Island, Elliot C. Way, Mac Pontiac & Ben Arsenault
Where? Rickshaw Theatre
