We usually would be bringing you some of our picks for concerts to attend in Vancouver this upcoming weekend/week - but since we’re all social distancing (YOU GET IN THAT APARTMENT!), we figured we’d bring you a list of virtual concerts instead.

This list is going to be updated every time we find a new one we thing fits our style, feel free to leave a comment or message us if you know of one that isn’t listed!

SATURDAY JULY 4

When? 10am and 5pm
Why? After 3 and a half months in isolation, streaming from separate spaces, Shred Kelly is finally back together for a livestream with ALL band members!

SUNDAY JUNE 28

Who? Kirk Streams Games?
Where? TWITCH - Live Stream
When? 1pm
Why? We’ve shifted our weekly Simpsons Trivia back to monthly (still streaming on twitch) but to fill the gap this week, Kirk might just be streaming games on Twitch instead. Will it be fun? Will it be a disaster? Only one way to find out!

Why? Stars singer Torquil Campbell brings another solo show, this time with an afternoon show for us out in the west. Hopefully you’re somewhere where you’re not at work while it’s happening…

When? 5pm
Why? Adam’s been doing what he’s calling a “Cross Country Chin Up” on a weekly basis! He has raised money for various Nova Scotia charities too - so don’t miss it!

SUNDAY JUNE 28

Who? WOO HOO! Simpsons Trivia Vancouver
Where? TWITCH - Live Stream
When? 1pm
Why? We’re taking our shameless plug to the virtual world for one last (weekly) time. Christine and Kirk will be running the last weekly version of our monthly Simpsons trivia online! But don’t worry, we’ll be switching over to a monthly twitch stream starting in July!

WEDNESDAY JULY 1

Who? Canada Day livestream
Where? The Government
When? All day
Why? The only part Kirk likes about Canada Day is all the free music happening in and around the city that day. And since that’s clearly not happening this year, I guess livestreams will have to do. Tune in for a daytime stream (1pm) & a night time stream (8pm), featuring names like Serena Ryder, Shane Koyczan, Joel Plaskett, Radio Radio, The Sheepdogs, Alanis Morissette, and more!

Virtual Gigs Of The Week - June 12 - June 18, 2020

FRIDAY JUNE 12

Who? Said the Whale
Where? Zoom
When? 5pm AND 8pm
Why? Said the Whale will be playing not one but TWO shows, performing their seminal album Islands Disappear. Tickets include a full recording of the show, and there are loads of fun extras with a VIP ticket purchase. All proceeds to the show will be going toward the band’s own Young Artist Grant for BIPOC.

SATURDAY JUNE 13

Who? iskwē | ᐃᐢᑫᐧᐤ
Where? The Theatre Centre
When? 6pm
Why? iskwē will be doing a “rare and unique performance” as headliner of the 3rd annual Festival Of Live Digital Art. Songs from her recent album acākosīk will be reworked to feature a classical trio; piano, cello and violin

SUNDAY JUNE 14
