Artist of the Week: Old Man Ludecke
This Thursday, Old Man Ludecke will be releasing his brand new collection of songs Domestic Eccentric on True North Records. After a weekend of playing around the beautful Jericho beach fairgrounds of Vancouver Folk Festival, he continues his tour this week to pretty much every other part of Canada. If the songs sound extra sentimental, it might be because it was recorded in his hand-built cabin in Nova Scotia with his family during an East Coast winter. On top of the usual long days of studio time, Ludecke had to rent a backhoe to make a path through the snow to get the gear in at all. The themes span a lifetime, consider this album a musical montage of a wise man's journal. Now listen up to this comfortingly country record and remember "you got to hold on, it goes so fast, these early days well, they don't last."
